Petrogas E&P LLC’s goal is to grow organically and through acquisitions. Considerable technical effort and expenditure will be spent to develop the potential of the existing assets and acreage with the expansion of water flood projects and infill drilling, the commercialization of undeveloped discoveries and the maturing of exploration prospects. In addition, Petrogas E&P LLC is conducting business development activities inside and outside of Oman to add to its existing acreage position.

Petrogas E&P LLC has identified the Middle East, Africa and the Indian Sub-Continent as areas in which opportunities continue to arise and in which Petrogas E&P can leverage both experience and also industry and political relationships to secure the best deals for the company. Petrogas E&P LLC will expand outside of its existing acreage position if and when the opportunities meet the strategic, technical and financial goals of the company. 

The strong financial position of Petrogas E&P LLC, combined with an experienced work force and track record in profitable acquisition and development of assets, leaves Petrogas E&P LLC well placed to identify, acquire and develop opportunities and to fulfill its ambitious growth targets. 

Future Activities

The following main activities are envisaged to be carried out in Year 2008:
• Drilling of 30+ horizontal wells with three drilling rigs 
• 3 Exploration and appraisal wells in block 7 and 48. 
• A comprehensive program of E&D studies, namely G&G and FDPs covering Petrogas main 
   assets and resources
• Finalize deployment of management systems to all Petrogas affiliates and subsidiaries.


Business Development
Substantial amounts of technical effort and expenditure will be spent in the coming years to maximize the production and returns provided by existing assets and acreage. However Petrogas E&P LLC’s growth targets will require the acquisition of additional exploration and production assets both inside and outside of Oman. Petrogas E&P LLC has identified the Middle East, Africa and the Indian Sub-Continent as areas in which opportunities continue to arise and in which Petrogas E&P LLC can leverage its experience and its industry and political relationships to secure the best deals for the company. Over the past three years, Petrogas E&P LLC has spent over US$ 3 million and will be increasing efforts in the coming years to originate additional opportunities that will take Petrogas E&P LLC through the next stages of growth. Over 50 opportunities have been considered in the past three years and these opportunities include ground floor exploration, farm-ins, asset and corporate acquisitions. More opportunities are continuously being evaluated for screening as per Petrogas strategy and economics.
